Hudsan was our first Dogue de Bordeaux. She came to us at 8 weeks of age, a few months after we took in our first Greyhound, Aimee. She and Aimee were immediately attached. Hudsan was a perpetual barker, and now in her old age, is getting worse. She will bark at anything. She may be old, senile and have a slight head tilt, but still hangs out with her buddy Aimee. Hudsan was among some of the first Dogues to be Temperament Tested and Penn Hip Tested. She earned her ARBA and FIC championships at 17m, and in 2003, in the veteran class, won her DDBS Championship. She comes from lineage that is almost gone from our country, she never produced pups, but she will always have a special place in our home and hearts.
10/1/05: Aimee passed away in August, leaving us with a four dog household. On Sept 29, Hudsan passed away, she and Aimee are now together forever, playing without suffering or pain with all the joy in the world and with all those friends and companions who have left us before they did. They are both missed dearly.
